Super Training
Super Training is a new feature to Pokemon X and Y which offers a combination of mini-games based around a soccer type theme. In the Super Training game, you have a Pokémon in the arena and you need to control it, using the touchscreen and circle pad to avoid balloon bots all while shooting balls at the lit up targets on the enemy balloon. Each game features different Pokemon and their related evolutionary forms and gradually get harder. Depending on the Pokemon used on what color ball it utilized, each of which have special features including varying speeds.
Super Training has three levels to it, level one, level two and level three. When you complete the games, you get an increase of Effort Values (EV’s) in a specified stat category. The different levels also give you increasing amounts of a state increase. Level 1 gives you +4, Level 2 gives you +8 and Level 3 gives you +12.
Each individual Pokémon specie’s progress is tracked, with them receiving medals upon completion of each game. |

Upon completing the different rounds in Super Training, you receive training bags which can be used to increase your Pokemon’s EV’s. Make your Pokemon attack the training bag for their stats to go up. The bags are also generally specified by which attack will go up and the size of the bag. For example, you can receive an attack bag, which increases the attack stat, and a S,M or L bag (small, medium, large). Small bags increase your stats by +1 point, medium increases your stat by +4 points and large gives you +12. The size you earn is based on how well you perform in the Super Training mini games. Other bags can be found as well, such as rare bags that assist in your attempts to complete rounds in the Super Training.
Other such bags include:
Reset Bag: Rests your training so that you can start from the beginning
Soothing Bag: Increases happiness
Strength Bag: Increases points for successful hits in Super Training
Swiftness Bag: Increases speed in Super Training
Toughen-Up Bag: Decreases enemy power in Super Training
Team Flare Bag: Increases your Pokemon’s eagerness to defeat the bags. |
