Nintendo has released that they will be releasingĀ a playable demo for ORAS, with data being transferable to the full game once it’s been purchased. This demo will have one of a kind game play, that will only be available in this upcoming demo. The released trailer suggested that a very familiar Pokemon will be receiving a Mega evolution. The release date for the demo has not been announced yet, nor has the way to get the necessary code to play the demo.
PokeBank has also been announced to support ORAS, along with the Pokemon Global Link. This trailer released many exciting new details, among them being the confirmation of legendary Pokemon Rayquaza; Rayquaza will be obtainable in the remakes. Along with this legendary confirmation, more details have been released for Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. When they go under Primal Reversion, they will gain Desolate Land and Primordial Sea abilities, respectively. Desolate Land brings on harsh sunlight, and Primordial Sea brings on an oppressive heavy storm. Once these weather conditions have changed, they will be unable to be changed by other abilities such as Drizzle, Drought, Sand Stream, and Snow Warning. Weather changing moves, like Hail, Sunny Day, etc., will also fail. Under Desolate Land, water attacks will fizzle out, and under Primordial Sea, fire attacks will fail. Groudon will receive a move all its own, called Precipice Blades, which hits multiple opponents with an upward surge of sharp rocks.
Like Groudon, Kyogre will be receiving its own move called Origin Pulse. This attack also hits multiple opponents, except with orbs of water instead of stones. The full versions of ORAS will be available in North America starting on November 21st, 2014.
