Not only will Pokemon XY introduce gamers to a new generation of Pokemon, including the standard fire, water and leaf type starters, but it will also give players the choice of selecting from the first generation starters, Squirtle, Charmander and Bulbasaur as well.
Pokemon XY has also made headlines for the introduction of Mega Pokemon Evolutions. This new form of evolving can be induced through special stones that wear off after battle. Giving max out evolved Pokemon a further opportunity to become stronger, and even change types, changes the way battles will be done.
Previously it had been revealed the Mewtwo is among those that will see new mega evolutions. With the introduction of the original gen starters into Pokemon XY though, mega evolution forms of their fully evolved forms were revealed as well.
